LIHWAP provides a one-time payment up to $750 from October 1 through September 30, to help eligible households pay for their current or past due water and/or wastewater (sewer) bills, and disconnection and reconnection fees. DSS will make payments directly to the participating utility company.

St. Vincent de Paul Society is a charity organization of the Catholic Church. They assist residents of Columbia, Missouri mostly with rent and utility bills but all assistance requests are considered.
Help Line: The St. Vincent de Paul Society help line is open for assistance on Monday and Wednesday. Neighbors can leave a message from 8:30 am to 9:30 am on those days and we will try to respond to their request. The Help Line number is: 573-424-1022.
