A Gift of Hope at the Right Time

Meet Tarita

2020 wasn’t an easy year for most people. For Tarita Williams it involved a high-risk pregnancy and months of wondering if she’d be able to work again or how she would be able to get her other kids to and from school. After being involved in our coaching programs and working with one of our service coordinators we knew we wanted to be able to help. Tarita accomplished many goals on her own that lead to her being chosen for the van. Despite the obstacles, she has always had a resilient spirit.

Gift of Hope

We were able to partner with Columbia Credit Union and their “Ten Turkeys and a Car” campaign to gift Tarita a new car in late February 2021. Not only that, but her first year of insurance will be generously covered by TIG!  Because of this gift, Tarita will be able to focus on starting up her new business and get her kids to school and other important doctor’s visits.

It’s because of the generosity of everyday members of our community that Tarita is able to support her family and have hope again for a better future.
