The approach taken is person rather than need focused and emphasizes relationship building and long term solutions as well as addressing immediate concerns.  For those in need, the clearinghouse provides as one of its services, a single point of entry to access church benevolence assistance.  For local churches, it offers a means to provide a coordinated response to those in need in the community and a means to move from strictly offering emergency relief to also engaging in developmental programs that can bring lasting change to those being helped.  Love INC encourages church based volunteers to live out the message of "love your neighbor" by befriending and getting to know our neighbors in need.  As relationships are formed all involved are enriched and deeper bonds of understanding and trust are forged in our community.
